Army / Navy Game - December 4, 2004 - Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field

Wednesday December 1, 2004
The U.S. Army Cadets and the U.S. Navy Midshipmen will clash in the 105th battle between the two schools on Saturday December 4, 2004 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Cadets (2-8) will be playing the role of the spoiler as they attempt to defeat the Midshipmen (8-2) who are attempting to win their ninth game for the first time since 1963.

The series between the two teams currently stands at 49-48-7 and a win by Navy will even the series. Navy is coming off a 54-21 win over Rutgers as is slated to play in the Emerald Bowl. Army is coming off a 20-14 loss to Alabama Birmingham.

The traditional march-on will take place between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. It’s a sight to behold as thousands of Cadets and Midshipmen make their traditional procession into the home of the Army/Navy Game at Lincoln Financial Field. You must have a game ticket or media pass to enter.

Pre-game festivities begin at 1:00 p.m., including skydivers from Army’s Golden Knights and Navy’s Leap Frogs; an invocation by Chaplin Baker, USNA; flyovers by four F-14 fighter jets and Apache helicopters; and a performance of the National Anthem by a Cadet and the U.S. Military Academy Band.

The kick off for the 105th match-up of the greatest rivalries in all of sports is at 2:30 p.m. and half time will feature a special performance by acclaimed Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan.

The game will be televised nationally by CBS and carried worldwide by Westwood One and the Armed Forces Radio and TV Networks. Locally, the game will be broadcast live on CBS3 and WDAS 1480 AM.
