Philadelphia Eagles Draft Florida State Defensive Tackle Brodrick Bunkley

Saturday April 29, 2006
The Philadelphia Eagles have used their 14th pick in the NFL Draft to select defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley from Florida State. Bunkley is 6'3" and weighs 307 pounds. He was rated by many experts as the number one defensive tackle available in the draft. His prospects in the draft increased when he bench pressed 225 pounds 44 times at the NFL combine. Last season at Florida State Bunkley had 66 tackles and a school-record 25 tackles for losses. He is known for his ability to get off the line quickly and get into the opponent's backfield. At first blush this appears to be a good pick for the Eagles whose defense fell short in many games last season. Click on comments and tell us what you think of the pick.

I have friends who go to the Florida State games and say he is a thrill to watch, a nice guy and winner all around.
Can’t wait to see him in Philly!
