August Arrives Bigtime at the South Jersey Shore

There's a lot going on at the Jersey Shore in August and a lot of it happens this weekend.
The 8th Annual Art of Surfing Festival takes place at the Ocean City Music Pier and while you're there you won't want to miss the Ocean City's 45th Annual Boardwalk Art Show.
Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall hosts the American Idols Live Tour 2008 with many of this year's top ten contestants including Brooke White, Carly Smithson, Chikezie, David Archuleta, David Cook, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns, Ramiele Malubay, and Syesha Mercado.
The Stockton Faculty Jazz Band takes to the stage Friday evening at Kennedy Plaza on the Boardwalk at Mississippi Avenue in Atlantic City.
The Atlantic City Casinos are really humming this weekend with performces by The Killers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Todd Rundgren and Jill Scott all in separate shows at the Borgata, Tom Jones at the Trump Taj Mahal, Clutch at the House of Blues inside the Showboat, Damon Wayans at Resorts, Grand Funk Railroad at the Atlantic City Hilton, Kevin Costner at Caesar's and Peter Frampton at the Tropicana.
