Phillies Parade Information
Thursday October 30, 2008
The parade for the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies will be tomorrow, Friday, October 31, 2008.
The parade will start at noon at 20th and Market Street. It will proceed to City Hall and then south on Broad Street to the Sports Complex. Upwards of two-million fans are expected to attend the parade.
Fans who plan on attending the parade are urged to take public transportation since parking in the city will be difficult. SEPTA is adding trains to both the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines. SEPTA will also have 30 free shuttle buses lined up along Pattison Avenue to carry riders to Second and Market Street. Each bus can carry only 60 people. So, if you must drive into the city, consider parking in one of the lots in Old City.
Tickets for celebrations at Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field were scooped up quickly this afternoon on Ticketmaster. Most of the seats at Citizens Bank Park went to Phillies season ticket holders. If you don't have a ticket by now, your best bet is to view the parade along Broad Street.
