  1. All Weekend: The Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe
The performing arts mega-fest kicks off on Friday. If you're planning to see more than one show over the next couple of weeks, order your tickets at the same time –- buying two or more tickets on the Live Arts and Fringe website will get you a 20% discount on your entire order.

  2. Saturday: Rib Ready
A Full Plate is holding their annual rib cook-off behind the Piazza in Northern Liberties. Visitors can chow down on meat and vegetarian ribs from amateur and professional chefs, plus a side-dish buffet, beer and more.

  3. Sunday: Get Outside
The start of September means that cool weather is starting to creep in. The current weather report for Sunday is partly cloudy with a high of 79 – consider going on a walking tour, riding your bike or checking out some public art.

  4. Monday: Long Weekend Bonus!
Happy Labor Day! If you have the day off (and I hope you do), enjoy it.
