Last month there was an event at the Academy of Natural Sciences called Awesomely Bad Movie Night. The over 21 event let guests explore the museum after darks, drink libations and take in the awesomely appropriate Big Foot. Though the Academy, built in 1812 just turned 200 it's still finding ways to be fresh and fun. Sometimes the Academy of Natural Sciences seem to take a back seat to our other science museum on the parkway, the Franklin Institute but the Academy is pretty damn cool too. It's got dinosaur bones and eggs, taxidermy pandas, bison and bears and hundreds of live butterflies. Read more about the Academy of Natural Sciences here.
