"SCULPTURE: n. 1. The art of carving or modeling with
clay, wood, stone, plaster, etc., 2. a work or works of 
art produced in this way.

One of the innovations to come into floral design in
recent years is to use branches, twigs and strong
stems to create a framework (sculpture) as a basis for
an arrangement. This allows the floral designer to
weave and twist material between the branches, 
which have an attractive coloration and texture in their
own right, to create and unusual and interesting design."
