A special welcome to our friends from About's Gardening and Landscaping sites who have stopped by to look at our photos of the 2001 Philadelphia Flower Show.
The 2001 Philadelphia Flower Show is one of the best in years. The theme "Great Gardeners of the World" really seemed to inspire both the professional exhibitors as well as those participating in the competitive classes.
We attended the show as part of the preview available only to members of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and then went back again on the official opening day.
Not even the threat of bad weather was able to keep folks away from the show. The members preview on Saturday, March 3 had record attendance. Crowds on the first Sunday of the show was also excellent.
