Trivial Pursuit has shown itself to be a game for the ages as new editions continue to be released every year. Other similar trivia games hit the market all of the time.

With Pennsylvania Trivia, Ernie and Jill Couch have authored a book that easily adapts itself to any trivia game, but particularly Trivial Pursuit. With chapters that match the categories of the original game: Geography, Entertainment, History, Arts & Literature, Sports & Leisure, and Science & Nature, the authors really test the readers knowledge of Pennsylvania.

As is unavoidable in a book dealing with the trivia of Pennsylvania, much of this book deals with the Philadelphia area. Do not, however, believe for a moment that even if you live in the area that the questions are easy.

In 1955 what Philadelphia male singing group recorded the number one national hit, "Love is a Many Splendored Thing"? Built in 1700, what is thought to be Pennsylvania's oldest church? According to the first federal census, what was the population of Pennsylvania in 1790? What Philadelphia building is the largest masonry-supported structure in the world?

These and many other questions are answered in this well researched and extremely entertaining book. Even if you have never played the famous board game, Pennsylvania Trivia will provide you with hours of entertainment and education. It's a great book to keep on the coffee table, or even other areas of the home where people tend to sit and read.
