The Fralinger String Band was led by Captain William Bowen, Jr. and performed to the theme of "Grab Your Partner, Swing Them Round - Fralinger is Westward Bound."
Fralinger finished first of the eighteen String Bands. This was their record-setting sixth consecutive victory in the String Band competition. Their Captain, William Bowen, Jr. also finished in first place of the eighteen String Band Captains.
