Located on the first floor adjacent to the main lobby of the Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building, the Gallery Café, created and managed by Restaurant Associates, offers Museum visitors a choice of spots for lunch: the 70-seat Café or weather permitting, the lovely outdoor terrace.
The café is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
Executive Chef J.C. Nuñez has created a contemporary luncheon menu that complements the buildings style.
Featuring market salads, soups and sandwiches, a selection of desserts and artisan chocolates, and a variety of house-made beverages, there will surely be something for every discerning diner.
A selection of the freshest greens is the base of the market salad. Diners then choose a protein or artisan cheese to accompany them. Lemon thyme grilled chicken, balsamic-marinated figs wrapped with prosciutto di Parma, and sugar cane grilled shrimp are the flavorful proteins on the current menu.
There will be a selection of composed salads, too, affording diners the opportunity to choose three to be part of their salad meal. Corn fava bean salad, roasted butternut squash and sage salad, and orzo - Kennett Square mushrooms salad are only a few of the tasty combinations available.
Both pressed sandwiches and open-faced sandwiches are on the menu, offering a selection of meat, cheese, fish and vegetable combinations that are sure to please.
Soup will be made fresh daily, and seasonal fruits and yogurt will be available to visitors wanting something light and fast to eat. The selection of thirst quenchers includes delicious house-made fruit spritzers, lemonades and fruity iced teas that will change with the seasons.
The desserts menu has chocolate fudge brownies, cookies, and seasonal fruit tarts. And a changing selection of artisan confections will tempt and delight every chocolate-lover.
