Stretching along the Delaware River waterfront, Penn's Landing is home to two of Philadelphia's biggest outdoor event spaces, Great Plaza and Festival Pier, as well as other attractions and restaurants.
Events at Penn's Landing
The following annual events are held at Penn's Landing:
- New Year's Eve fireworks
- Pride Fest
- The All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Festival
- The PECO Multicultural Festival Series
- Outdoor concerts from touring bands
- Free events, including movie screenings and jazz concerts
Attractions at Penn's Landing
Several attractions also populate Penn's Landing, including the Independence Seaport Museum, the Blue Cross RiverRink and Moshulu, the floating restaurant. In the summer, kayak rentals are available in the Penn's Landing marina.
Penn's Landing Parking
Parking lots are available along Columbus Boulevard near both Great Plaza and Festival Pier. Parking costs a flat rate of between $10 and $20, depending on the event.
Directions to Penn's Landing's Great Plaza
The main Penn's Landing area, Great Plaza, is along Columbus Boulevard at Chestnut Street. This is also the location of the Blue Cross RiverRink and Independence Seaport Museum.
By Public Transit: Take SEPTA's Market-Frankford line to 2nd Street Station. Walk east on Market Street towards the water; the road will loop around and bring you directly to Great Plaza.

By Bike: Columbus Boulevard has bike lanes on both sides of the street for easy bike access.
By PHLASH: These bright purple trolleys run between the beginning of May and end of October, providing transportation to 27 popular tourist destinations across Philadelphia, including the Great Plaza area.
Directions to Festival Pier
Some Penn's Landing events take place at Festival Pier, a concert space north of Great Plaza at the intersection of Columbus Boulevard and Spring Garden Street.
By Public Transit: Take SEPTA's Market-Frankford line to Spring Garden Station. Walk east on Market Street towards the water; Festival Pier is across Columbus Boulevard.
