Helium is a Philadelphia comedy club that showcases a variety of local and touring stand-up comedians, as well as occasional sketch-comedy acts. Tickets for Helium Comedy Club's shows range from $10 to $25, and there is a two-item minimum per table once in the showroom. Shows run Wednesday through Saturday nights and usually feature three comedians. Past performers include Saturday Night Live's Norm McDonald, former Richard Pryor writer Paul Mooney and Maria Bamford from the Comedians of Comedy.
Helium Comedy Club also offers an open mic night at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. To register to perform, sign up at the club between 6 and 7 p.m. Entrance to the show is free for audience members, but note that both audience members and comedians selected to perform are subject to Helium's two-item minimum.
