In previous years, this annual Philadelphia Festival exceeded crowds of 20,000 on the waterfront, and has become one of the biggest Jam Band festivals held inside a major city.
The Jam on the River marks the traditional kickoff to summer events at Philadelphia's Penn's Landing. Located between Market and Walnut Streets on Columbus Blvd., Penn's Landing is easily accessible from downtown Philadelphia public transportation or from the Camden waterfront via the River Link Ferry. Parking is also available along Columbus Boulevard.
With one of the most musically diverse lineups ever, this year's Jam performances promise to be a great time for everyone.
Jam on the River will also feature a wide variety of crafts from hand-painted wall hangings to tye-dyed clothing with images of rock icons from Not Fade Away Artworks and Over the Rainbow Crafts and Dyeworks.
Hungry music lovers will find a wide variety of food available for purchase, from Philly favorites like cheesesteaks, Italian sausage and Dietz & Watson hot dogs to catfish and shrimp sandwiches, Cajun Chicken and Crawfish pasta. Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Pina Coladas and Tiki Bar specialty drinks round out the extensive menu in the food vendor area.
