Philadelphia has an amazing sense of Christmas Spirit. In addition to the many special christmas events and festivals there are some long running Christmas attractions that go from Thanksgiving until New Years and make Christmas in Philadelphia truly memorable. There are lots of places to meet Santa Claus and take in world class light shows. Here's a round up of the top Christmas Attractions in the city.

Old City Winter Wonderland

After picking up gifts at the adorable boutiques of old city you can stop at Trust's Winter Wonderland. At the site of the Philadelphia Real World house you can take pictures with Santa, decorate gingerbread houses and visit gift wrapping stations (which benefit PAWS)

Christmas Village in Love Park

Love park transforms into a traditional German market. More than 60 vendors in wooden booths sell traditional European food, and drinks as well as holiday ornaments, jewelry and crafts.

Macy's Christmas Light Show

This Christmas light show has been a Philadelphia tradition since 1956 when the site was the John Wanamaker department store. The show features almost 100,000 LED lights and organ music from the historic pipe organ.

Macy's Dicken's Village

The Dicken's Village is a beloved Philadelphia tradition. This attraction is a life-seized recreation of A Christmas Carol. Travel back in time to Victorian London. This 15 minute show runs every hour on the hour. Shown on the giant, state-of-the-art Comcast Experience Video wall, the Spectacular is filled with the best sights and sounds of the holiday. See the nutcracker performed by the Pennsylvania Ballet and a sleigh ride through the Pennsylvania countryside, all larger than life.

Longwood Gardens Christmas

The illuminated indoor and outdoor displays of plants, ornaments and fountains take christmas lights to the next level. There is also a number of special events like the Breakfast with Santa, the Garden Railway and performances by ice skaters, strolling carolers, and a choir.
