Rosemont College was founded in 1921 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus on the Sinnott estate in Rosemont, Pennsylvania.

Rosemont College offers students 22 majors. Each program offers an in-depth study of a particular subject area, as well as a breadth of study in the liberal arts.
Today Rosemont is one college with three schools: the Undergraduate Women's College (women), the School of Graduate Studies (coeductional) and the School of Continuing Studies (coeductional). The Undergraduate Women's College offers 23 majors, awarding Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Science degrees.
