Overview:

Rutgers-Camden began as an amalgam of the South Jersey Law School and the College of South Jersey, each founded in the 1920s. The combined schools became part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 1950, and the campus has been known as Rutgers-Camden since then.

Location:

Rutgers-Camden maintains a 40-acre campus located at the Camden Waterfront in Camden, NJ.

Academics:

Rutgers-Camden offers 34 undergraduate degrees, 13 graduate and professional programs, and many minors and specializations that meet the student's specific needs.

Classes are offered during the day and evening, during traditional semesters and special winter and summer terms, both on the 40-acre campus as well as at off-campus locations. Rutgers-Camden has the only law school in southern New Jersey.

The most popular undergraduate majors are Business, Management, Marketing, and related support services, Science technologies/technicians, Social sciences, Security and protective services, and English language and literature/letters.

The smallest and youngest of Rutgers' three regional campuses, Rutgers-Camden has 3694 undergraduate and 1690 graduate students.

There are 229 full-time and 172 part-time faculty members.
