On April 28, 2010, Flying Monkey Patisserie in Reading Terminal Market celebrated its fourth anniversary with a cupcake-eating contest. Eight brave and costumed competitors spent five minutes shoving as many buttercream-topped cupcakes as they could into their mouths. The winner, Matt Ventre, scarfed down a whopping 13 cupcakes, and in doing so won one free Flying Monkey cupcake every day for a year. Below, browse through pictures from the cakey massacre.
