Grand Opening: March 30th, 2012
XFINITY Live! (don’t forget the exclamation point) will be ground zero for Philadelphia sport’s fanatics; it’s like a sports bar on steroids. The state-of-the-art entertainment center is set to open just in time for the Phillies first game of the season. The complex will show non–stop sporting events on giant indoor and outdoor LED screens. Dining, drinking and entertainment options abound including an upscale steak house, beer hall, a 300-foot turf field, a mechanical bull and much, much more.
Rising out of the former Spectrum building, XFINITY Live! is a dining, shopping and entertainment destination to compliment the South Philadelphia sporting arenas. The expansive outdoor area of XFINITY Live! is centered around a 24-foot-wide, Sony LED video board, which will show both sports games and family-friendly movies. Next to the theatre is an outdoor miniature artificial turf field, which will host various activities and free concerts. The Philly Marketplace, which will house a bunch of classic Philly fast food staples like Chickie and Pete’s and Old Original Nick’s Roast Beef, is the central gathering space of center. The venue will hold some very big acts; Bruce Springsteen is set to play here at the end of April 2012. XFINITY Live! is unlike another other kind of venue in existence.
XFINITY Live! Is located in the South Philadelphia Sports complex at the corner of 11th Street and Pattison Avenue. Take I-95 to the Broad Street/Sports Complex exit. Parking is free on non-event nights. It is accessible from center city by the Broad Street line.
Spectrum Grill, “the crown Jewel of XFINITY Live,” pays homage to the former stadium in the form of a sleek Steak House. “Intimate” and “sophisticated,” the Grill will serve up prime steaks, chop and seafood and host swanky cocktail parties nightly in the VIP lounge.
Victory Beer Hall
Victory, Philly’s own local craft brewery, sponsors this German Style Beer Hall with long communal tables, a stage for live entertainment, and a 2,000 square-foot patio complete with a fire pit and a panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline.
PBR Bar & Grill
The Tex Mex restaurant, PBR doesn't stand for Pabst Blue Ribbon but for Professional Bull Riders. Hello! There is a mechanical bull! Need I say more?
