Started in 2008, Philly Spring Cleanup is a citywide service day dedicated to cleaning and beautifying Philadelphia. Volunteers can participate by cleaning up their blocks, or they can sign up for one of several special projects on the Philly Spring Cleanup website. These projects, which include clearing trash from empty lots and planting flowers in parks, are available in virtually every Philadelphia neighborhood.
