Young Man Fishing in Edgewood Lake, FDR Park, Philadelphia, PA

On any given spring or summer day you're sure to see several people fishing in Edgewood Lake or Meadow Lake. An attempt to stock the lakes with channel catfish in the early 1990's was only moderately successful, although a small population still exists in the lakes. More likely, however, anglers will catch bluegills ranging from three to eight inches in length, or some of the abundent population of white perch that range between four and ten inches in length.
