Begin 2013 with the Mummers Parade and enjoy great events throughout the month. The Philadelphia Auto Show, the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival and Philadelphia Restaurant week are just a handful of notable events in January.
The Mummers Parade: This parade is one of the longest running traditions in the US. There's no better want to ring in the New Year than with the Mummer's. Enjoy the elaborate costumes, choreographed dances and music from Washington Ave to City Hall. After they they head down to "Two Street," (2nd Street) where things kind of digress.

Sake and the Collection at the Barnes Foundation: Get and introduction to Sake, the oft misunderstood Japanese spirit while viewing arguably the best collection of fine art in Philadelphia. Spring Garden Indoor Antique & Vintage Flea Market: You don't have to travel out of the city to find great flea markets. Every 1st and 3rd Saturday threw March there will be more than 50 vendors selling antiques, collectibles, vintage furniture and jewelry at this location.

Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival's Documentaries & Dialogs Series: Five film screenings to highlight the best of Jewish Documentary cinema from the UK, Israel, Austria, Germany and the United States will be shown. There will be additional events in conjunction with the screenings such as pre-film shorts, a vodka tasting and a performance from the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre.
