Views from the top of the lighthouse are amazing in all directions.

On a clear day you can see beautiful views of all of Cape May point. You can see Sunset Beach and sometimes the sunken concrete ship The Atlantis which is still somewhat visible in the waters off Sunset Beach.

Constructed of concrete during World War I because of a shortage of steel, The Atlanis was soon decommissioned because of her weight and slow speed. It was towed to Cape May to be used as part of a dock on a proposed ferry line to be run from Cape May, New Jersey, to Cape Henlopen, Delaware. She broke her moorings during a storm on June 8th, 1926, and beached on the spot where she now lies. Efforts to free the ship were unsuccessful. The ship has deteriorated rapidly in recent years and may not be visible much longer.

On a clear day you can also see the amusement piers in the Wildwoods.
