You also can't help but notice that the Cowtown Rodeo is a real family event. Almost half the crowd of around 3,000 is kids who are as much into the spirit of the event as their parents.
I have to admit it was really cute to see a cowboy of about six walk by with cowboy hat, boots and a pair of six-shooters on his hip.
Young cowgirls also seem to enjoy the rodeo with their stylish hats of pink and light blue.
