Collingswood

The Pop Shop, Collingswood, NJ - The soda fountain and hostess counter were reclaimed from a condemned 1940's counter diner in Ottoville, Iowa and retrofitted to fit The Pop Shop.

Collingswood is the new hot spot to shop in the Delaware Valley. A recent influx of the hip and trendy has brought a mix of funky new shops, artisan studios, restaurants, coffee shops, live street entertainment, and edgy style to the classic architecture along this portion of Haddon Avenue.

The town has one of the area's best new restaurants that offers a special 1950's feel along with prices and portion sizes that will definitely remind you of times past. Opened in September of 2005, The Pop Shop at 729 Haddon Avenue is an old-fashioned neighborhood restaurant/soda fountain serving all-day breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, salads, platters and full service ice cream and soda fountain treats.

The awards have been coming fast and furious for The Pop Shop, including "Best Kids Menu in America" from Restaurant Hospitality magazine, "Best of Philly 2006" for Family Breakfast from Philadelphia Magazine and "Best of the Best 2006" for Unique Dining from South Jersey Magazine. We'll be profiling the restaurant soon.
