1. APEX

One of two "Chinatown buses" in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia stops: Chinatown and 3131 N. Broad St.

Service to: Baltimore, New York City and Washington DC

2. Bolt Bus

These bright-orange buses offer free Wi-Fi and electrical outlets. If you buy your seat early enough, you might be able to snag a $1 ticket.

Philadelphia stops: 30th Street between Market & Chestnut and the Cherry Hill Mall (NJ)

3. Eastern Travel

4. Greyhound

The granddaddy of bus travel, Greyhound has endeavored to keep their prices competitive with discount bus lines. Some of the company's new fleet feature Wi-Fi and outlets.

Service to: If you're willing to make connections, Greyhound can get you almost anywhere in the country.

5. Megabus

This double-decker bus features free Wi-Fi, and, like the Bolt, offers $1 tickets if you purchase them early enough.

6. New Century

Like APEX, New Century operates out of Chinatown.

Philadelphia stop: 55 N. 11th St.

Service to: Brooklyn, Manhattan and Washington DC
