George Washington's army needs more troops. The call has gone out and two of the Nation's founding fathers - Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson have personally appealed to the young of Philadelphia to join up.

Under the supervision of a colonial sergeant, the new recruits are instructed on the proper use of their muskets and bayonets as well as marching and charging the enemy lines.

The Military Muster was conducted twice daily over the Fourth of July weekend. A large number of new recruits were enlisted in the Colonial Army. Hip, Hip, Huzzah! Hip, Hip, Huzzah! Hip, Hip, Huzzah!
