From over 200 contestants and 36 semi-finalists, these six young people competed in the first Lights of Liberty Show's Teen Idol Search for the Greatest God Bless America.

Competing on Independence Mall before a live audience, celebrity judges Blanche Burton-Lyles, Noel Graves-Williams, Mike Lemon and Peter Nero were challenged to select the best version of God Bless America. The winner was to perform God Bless America at the Philadelphia Freedom Concert headlined by Sir Elton John.

Two contestants were tied at the end of the judging: Luis Figueroa-Roig and Ariadni Lopez, both close friends from Philadelphia. After rehearsal at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Ariadni was selected the winner and she performed wonderfully in front of a live audience numbering in the hundreds of thousands as well as a large TV audience.
